Diverse Construction 05/15-Current

Diverse Construction is a contracting company in the telecommunication industry.  They primarily build and service cell towers and the technologies there of, for the big name cell carriers. My first responsibility was to learn the technologies and practices in a field that was new to me, within 90 days. Then I was responsible for the management of teams across multiple regions providing contracted services to customers (e.g., RF design, site acquisition, permitting, tower modifications, and cell site construction). Thus ensuring that the project is completed according to mutually agreed upon deadlines. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining all documents related to modification and construction of towers (e.g., structural analysis, lease, title, applicable permits, soil samples, regulatory approvals or others as required). As well as being ahead of and communicating issues that will impact project completion or cost.

·   Project Manager

·   Regularly take the initiative to stay after hours and come in on the weekends, to ensure that proposals, contracts, and materials are on track to meet or beat deadlines.

·   It is a constant behavior for me to take on responsibilities of other managers, in addition to my own, to assist in decreasing the overall work load.

·   When the opportunity arose, I took charge of the warehouse. Implementing a new inventory control system, and training procedures, which increased efficiency by approximately 25%.

·   I created a digital close out package that highlighted a project’s key points, to be submitted to the customer after the completion of each project. This decreased miscommunication and sped up the collections process.

·   I built several spreadsheets that allowed the company to track job progress, warehouse inventory, and the status of site inspections.

FT-Renovations 07/13- 5/14

FT-Renovations is a General Contracting company based out of Ft Worth.  Their target audience is multifamily residences. If it involved apartments they do it. My job was to find new clients, new jobs, estimate jobs, and manage jobs start to finish. Using estimating and book keeping software that allowed us to keep track of scheduling, pay role, and invoicing.

·   By finding new clients and large jobs I lead the company to being profitable for the first time.

·   Find and receive leads, contact potential customers and sell the company and the prospective job.

·   Compile estimates, contact vendors, subs, and engineers. Collect information from all parties to form accurate estimates.

·   Compile information and estimates for other Project Managers

·   Assist the office with sales and obtaining accurate information.

·   Assist other Project Managers with comprehensive projects

·   Manage coordination between clients, subs, vendors, inspectors, and office from start to finish of a project to ensure completion on budget and on time.

KWH- Construction, Remodel, Design (Independent Contractor) 05/07-07/13

I was a self-employed contractor for many years. I mainly worked with real estate agents and investors, flipping properties.

·   With my no nonsense approach to real estate investing I saved investors thousands on every job, by educating them on the proper time and place to put there money.

·   Built my own sales and marketing tools, meet with clients, build bids, sale jobs.

·   Residential home remodeling projects, ground up construction .Projects ranged from installing simple fixtures to doubling the square footage of a home.

·   Gained practical, hands-on knowledge of all aspects of home construction and remodeling 

Weidner Property Management: Midland TX 05/12-07/13                                                                                                                                                             Weidner is a multi-family property management company. I was the maintenance supervisor for one of their complexes and routinely went on call for several properties.

·   Maintenance Supervisor for Trinity Place Apartments

Achieve and exceed company standards in resident response time-call backs, apartment turn, budget, and man hours. Coordinate with the office, maintenance staff, vendors, and residents for move in/outs, work orders, emergencies, property improvements, inventory, and training.

·   Service Tech for Northridge Court Apartments

Ensure resident satisfaction. Respond to work orders in a quick and timely manner, preform make readies, service and repair of HVAC systems.

 

 

Phoenix Mechanical: Austin, Texas (Commercial HVAC installation company) 05/02-06/07

Phoenix was an H.V.A.C. Contracting company that worked with high scale restaurants such as the Cheesecake Factory and The Grand Lux Cafe as well as medical office buildings such as hospitals, labs, doctors’ offices, and dentist offices. I started out as a helper and worked my way to foreman running crews on jobs all around the country.

PROJECT LIST

 

JAMES HARDIE PLANT

I took over as  Project Manager for the expansion of the James Hardie  plant in Cleburne TX. The project detailed  expanding the plant by adding new office and locker areas through out the facility.  When I stepped in the project was a month behind schedule and the company I represented was one mistake from being kicked off the job. When I finished  the job we were two weeks  ahead of schedule and awarded additional projects.

 

LTE/AWS UPGRADES

As a Project Manager For Diverse Construction I estimated and managed approximately fifty cell site upgrades through out the west Texas and North Dallas  regions.  The upgrades  increased the cell carriers celluer foot print and data speeds. This was achieved by installing new antennas, radios,  coax and fiber optics.

 

Marabella Fitness Center

I approached the Richdale Apartment Group on a sales call. In doing so we (FT Renovations) were given the chance to bid on, and won the contract to build the new fitness  center. I estimated, sold, and managed the project successfully. Which led to other projects with Richdale..

 

MULTIFAMILY REMODELS

As the Project Manager/Estimator for FT Renovations I estimated,sold and managed projects throughout the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. Projects included  parking lot paving,  foundation repair,  boiler install,  burn units, maintenance and repair.

 

RESIDENTIAL RESTORATION
